  1. Thanks a good deal for your site!

Why, if you can cover Ensign, do you leave out Thanet Garage.

The new ADL Enviro 400MM ‘s are mostly arrived, 15261 and 15275-90 are at Herne Bay, 15262-74 are at Thanet, and many are about on type training. Mostly they are based at Thanet pro tem, and the allocations are reversed from the original announcement, possibly because the new Herne Bay garage isn’t ready yet.

    1. ADL Enviro 400MM ‘s – the latest!

15262-74were lauched in service this morning (Mon 11/4) on the 8s, Thanet to Canterbury.

15261 though nominally HB, is based pro tem at Thanet, and is used by HB for type training. It was in and out of Canterbury bus station today.

There is no sign yet of 15275-90, the Herne Bay batch; staff saying that they are probably waiting for the completion of the new HB garage.

  2. Hi Guys,
Unusual working this morning of Wave 99 branded Enviro 400 15771 on the Service 1/1A in Eastbourne (Photo on my Flickr account). I can honestly say I have never see this previously. I suspect Eastbourne may be short of vehicles as a number of Loop painted vehicles have been used on the 1/1A in recent days. 17637 was on the 1 yesterday, straying from its usual Route 56.

  3. Hi Guys,
An interesting sighting tonight, Enviro 400,15501, GN 09 BCV, which I think is (was?) a Thanet vehicle travelling along Seaside from the Eastbourne Town Centre. I think it may have been on a Service 1/1A, but I cannot be 100% sure of the that.

    1. Thank you very much for the information! Yes Eastbourne have two of these and apparently gaining more too. It is heard that their GX54 tridents and 18530 will be split between Folkestone and Thanet which seems rather pointless really. In return they will receive more ex Kent Scanias. Thank you and have a great evening! -Alex 🙂

  4. An unusual hour to say the least in Eastbourne this morning. Three of the transferred Enviro 400’S were in service:
    15500 Service 98
    15501 Service 1A
    15504 Service 51
There were a number of other interesting workings as follows:
‘One’ branded 19656 on anti-clockwise LOOP
Magic Bus 17637 on Service 1
Trident 19049 on route 55 (usually a single deck vehicle)
    Olympian 16344 on a 99 service
34493 working a Service 3 (usually the preserve of the Optare Solos)
Makes for an interesting hour with the trusty Nikon.
Withe the exception off 15504, all the rest on on my Flickr account.
    Keep smiling

  5. Eastbourne Depot now seems to be the gathering point for deliveries and disposals. A number of interesting vehicles in the yard today. Three Magic Bus liveried vehicles, one identified as:
    17662, V 162 DFT.
    17691, X 701 JVV
34439, KV 54 EZR (Previously Herne Bay)
    22945, OV 51 KAE (Eastbourne)
    16389 N 389 LPN (previously Thanet)

All the three Magic Buses look as if they have just arrived from Manchester as they still have the MagicBus pricing across the upstairs windows.

15771 was still in use last night ( Sunday) on a 1/1A service.

  6. Last week there were not only 17662 and 17691, but also 17659 – presumably your third. It was at the back behind all 3 Dotto trains.
17691 is shon as withdraw on semi-official lists, the other 2 as reserve fleet, along with 17634, which I can’t find anywhere!

  7. Trident Alexander ALX400, 18530, has not yet gone to Folkestone and was still in use this morning in Eastbourne on Route 54. There was also two Hastings Arrows in the town within 60 minutes of each other, 36489, GN 12 CKP worked in and out on a service 99 just after 08.00 and 36498, GN 12 CLV was working a route 98 just before 09.00

    1. I have a fleet allocation list for Stagecoach SE dated yesterday.
I t includes the recent cahanges after Herne BAy and Thanet put the new ones into use, and sent others elsewhere.
Since your depot lists are very out of date, I wonder if its any use?

Can I make a further pleas for news of 17634. It was shown as Dover a month ago, and there is a photo on the web of it on the swamp at Whitfield.
Whitfield, has denied knowledge of it, but Dover controller told me yesterday that it went to Eastbourne on Wed (June 1st). He even told me the name of the driver and where in Eastbourne garage he parked it.
However, by yesterday it was nowhere at Eastbourne, and the staff denied knowledge of it! They said perhaps it was at Hastings. Hastings said they had never seen it?
Does anyone know where it is please?

      1. Hi, thanks, yes that would be a great help! We are aware of some of the moves which have happened but have just not got round to updating the fleetlists yet!

Regarding 17634, I am not aware of where this vehicle currently is or where it has moved from/to, but I can say that it has not arrived at Hastings. Sorry that I cannot help you further, this seems to be a bit of a mystery!

  8. 17634 was at the back of Thanet garage last Saturday!

17665/6/and 17669 were seen coming down the hill into Hastings from Oare yesterday afternoon, “not in service”. They are rumoured to be going to Eastbourne, but I havn’t been able to check this yet.

I have the lists: I can’t seem to be able to attach files on this screen, so how should I send them?

  10. Hi Guys, Interesting sighting in Eastbourne this morning, Trident Enviro 400, 19058, parked up in the Bus Lanes. Looking at the vehicle allocations this is a Thanet vehicle. I do not recall seeing it round Eastbourne previously. Has it moved to the reserve list and is it in the town to operate the Park and Ride for Airborne. I’ll keep you updated.

    1. Hi Steve, thank you for informing us of this, we highly appreciate it. This is currently on loan to Hastings from Thanet along with Thanet based 18163 XIL1560, 18174 GX54DVT, Dover based 19059 MX56FSK and Ashford 15492 GN09BBU. This is because Hastings are currently running extra buses on the 99 as duplicates on peak time journeys to relieve high capacity intake on the normal 99s during the southern strike which have been making buses very busy. To my knowledge, Eastbourne are also running extras on the 56 from Polegate to Eastbourne and Southdown PSV are also running an X12 between Brighton, Seaford and Eastbourne to help with increased passenger loadings, I think. Hope I could help and thanks for getting in touch with us. Many Thanks, Alex 🙂

  13. Eastbourne appears to have cleared some ex- Magic buses. There are four left 17668/9 9n the tard and two at the back I couldn’t identify.
There are 122 or more minibuses in a grey livery almost filling the yard; are they for Stagecoach?

Does anyone know about 17663? Its still listed as Hastings, though it doesn’t seem to be about.

    1. Hi Malcolm. Indeed, many magic buses have been sold to EnsignBus, who have sold them on for further service. Thanks for the information. The Minibuses are for stagecoach, at their Ashford depot and will enter service towards the end of this year or early next year. They will just carry the silver livery with Stagecoach logos. 17663 is still indeed based at Hastings and is still in service.

    1. Thanks for you comment. These are part of a batch of 25 that will enter service on the 4th of December on the Wave routes running from Dover to Hastings via Folkestone, Hythe, Lydd and Rye. The batch will be split between Folkestone and Hastings depots. I don’t know what the two vehicles you couldn’t identify were but we know that a number of the batch are currently in storage at Thanet and Eastbourne depots with only a few at Hastings and Folkestone currently for type training.

Hope you had a good trip, hopefully this information helps. 🙂

Always a pain when you see vehicles but cannot see the reg or number when so far from home.

  20. Hi,
Trident 18528, GX 06DYS was in use on the 99 yesterday (Friday11th Nov). The vehicle looked as if it had just undergone a repaint and did not have any side adverts applied. This used to be a Hastings vehicle, but I think went to Herne Bay after the shuffle round of vehicles last year. I would imagine Hastings are short of vehicles following the vehicle fire last week although I am aware 36907 has gone to Hastings from Eastbourne. Photograph of 18528 on my Flickr account.

    1. Hi Steve,
Thank you for letting us know about 18528. We hadn’t seen this for a while and thought it must’ve gone for a repaint too. 18528 originally went from Herne Bay to Eastbourne for about 2 days, with 18529 to Hastings, then they both swapped around after about 2 days. 18529/30 are now at Ashford, but 18528 has been based at Hastings since then. I believe they are slightly short of vehicles, and Hastings did have 36907 on loan, but I believe it has returned now. Thank you for the info.
